Kumeyaay Lake Campground Crew (Mission Trails)
Have you ever camped at the Kumeyaay Lake Campground? Would you like to help improve it by volunteering? Then join Ranger Brandon's Kumeyaay Campground Crew on the 3rd Saturday of each month from 8 a.m. to 12 noon (except in July and August, due to the heat). Rain cancels.
This volunteer crew helps with a variety of projects around the Kumeyaay Lake Campground, and meets in the Day Use Lot. Volunteers are responsible for knowing their own physical limitations, the safe usage of tools, and being aware of the environment (sun/heat, rattlesnakes, ticks, poison oak, etc.). Minors ages 8 and above are welcome, but must have an adult with them, if they are under age 14, in order to participate.
Volunteers should wear long pants, sturdy, closed-toe shoes and sun protection. They should also be sure to bring along work gloves (if they have any) and a water bottle to refill. Extra work gloves to borrow, ice water, Gatorade and snacks will be available.
To RSVP, please contact Ranger Brandon at bbotticelli@sandiego.gov
