Foster Assistant
Interested in also helping out the foster department at the shelter? Consider becoming a Foster Assistant!
These volunteers assist the foster department with getting animals into foster homes. Duties will include:
- checking voicemail, checking email, computer work,
- setting up vet appointments, prepping food and supplies for pick up
- helping get animals when fosters come in.
Requirements for this position include good phone skills, comfortable with computer data entry, good customer service, friendly attitude, and an understanding that euthanasia is possible if an animal does not respond to treatment.
Training: Dog and Cat handling Training, one-on-one training with the Foster team.
