The Air Ambulance Service

Our charity is growing, and we are always looking for new volunteers to join us!

We have a wide range of volunteering opportunities available in our shops, offices and in our community areas: Derbyshire, Leicestershire & Rutland, Northamptonshire, Warwickshire, Yorkshire, Oxford, Southwest and South Wales and Northwest

You can search our open positions by location using the bar on the left to find the right volunteering opportunity for you and apply online. If you don't see an opportunity here please speak to us.

Volunteers Under 18

If you are aged 16-18 and would like to volunteer then this is a possibility in some of our locations. Please complete an online application for the area you are interested in and we will be in touch to discuss further. Unfortunately we are not currently able to accommodate volunteers who are under the age of 16.

All under 18's will need to complete a Young persons risk assessment and those helping at events or within the Community Fundraising Team will need to be accompanied by a registered volunteer or a member of staff at all times.

TAAS is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and adults and expects all our staff and volunteers to share our commitment.

*We now require all Volunteers to complete a basic DBS check and provide two references, you will be contacted regarding these as part of the application process.

Volunteering with us is very flexible. You can commit to as little or as much time as you are able to give.

If you have any questions then please contact our Volunteering Team at Volunteering@theairambulanceservice.org.uk or 0300 3047 724.

Mission Statement

The Air Ambulance Service operates the national Children’s Air Ambulance and the local air ambulance services for Warwickshire, Northamptonshire, Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Rutland.

Our vision is clear. We want children to grow into adults, we want adults to live longer and we want bereavement through trauma to become rare.

Each of our services works tirelessly to save lives and alleviate sickness, wherever and whenever possible.
