Through the generosity of individuals, businesses, and groups, YWCA Oklahoma City is able to address the needs of families in our community. Volunteers contribute unique talents, skills, and knowledge that assist YWCA OKC in achieving our mission of eliminating racism and empowering women. Volunteer opportunities include:
To become a part of Team YWCA OKC as a volunteer or intern, use the search option to find your perfect opportunity and complete the application. You will be prompted to create an account to manage your profile and experience as a volunteer. After we receive your application, we will reach out to schedule an interview and begin checking your listed references.
After all screening steps are complete you will be prompted to register for and complete Crisis Services Training (CST). This is our onboarding class, required by the Office of the Attorney General of the State of Oklahoma, our certifying agency. This class consists of:
- One 3-hour orientation, in person
- Online video classes created by YWCA OKC experts and partners
- Two 3-hour classes, in person
- Scheduled for the 2nd Wednesday and Thursday of every month from 6 pm - 9 pm
A non-refundable $35 administrative fee is required and covers application processing and a background check.
