Adelaide University Volunteer Program

Please note that the Adelaide University Volunteer Program opportunities are currently being updated. For volunteering enquiries for 2026, please contact volunteer@adelaide.edu.au

The Adelaide University Volunteer Program consists of 70 structured groups of volunteers embedded within specific colleges, portfolios, or University initiatives.

Each group is coordinated by a designated staff member responsible for overseeing volunteer activities and ensuring alignment with our strategic and operational goals. Volunteers can contribute to one or more of our strategic areas including;

  • Student Success & Experience
    Volunteers play a pivotal role in enriching the student journey by offering mentoring, supporting wellbeing and academic integrity initiatives, and assisting students in their transition and engagement. Their contributions foster a supportive and inclusive campus environment.

  • Teaching & Learning Enhancement
    Volunteers actively participate in the academic process by providing valuable feedback on course design, engaging in curriculum consultations, and supporting educational innovation. Their insights help shape dynamic and effective teaching practices.

  • Research
    Volunteers assist in advancing knowledge by supporting research projects through fieldwork, data collection, and analysis. Their involvement aids researchers in conducting impactful studies and contributes to the institution's academic excellence.

  • Community Engagement
    Volunteers strengthen the connection between the institution and its broader community by coordinating events, leading outreach programs, and facilitating alumni networks. Their efforts cultivate a vibrant, engaged community that supports the institution's mission and values.

We welcome people of all ages, cultures and abilities to participate as volunteers. You can be a student, staff, Alumni or general public.
