What to Expect in the Recruitment Process
Volunteer Screening: For a safe and secure environment, and to ensure that clients and residents are served with the highest standards, the City of Mississauga's volunteer recruitment is carried out to an ethical, fair and formal process. Volunteers should expect the following Volunteer Screening activities during recruitment.
- Record of Offences Declaration.
- Police Reference Check (PRC) in some positions, which will be mentioned in the position description. The PRC is only required after the prospective volunteer has been selected.
- Reference Checks.
Volunteering Terms and Conditions: In consideration for being permitted to participate as a volunteer with the City of Mississauga Volunteer Program, volunteers must agree to a set of terms and conditions.
