What to Expect in the Recruitment Process
Volunteer Screening: For a safe and secure environment, and to ensure that clients and residents are served with the highest standards, the City of Mississauga's volunteer recruitment is carried out through an ethical, fair and formal process. Volunteers should expect all or some of the following Volunteer Screening activities during recruitment.
- Eligibility assessment (eg: interviews, questionnaires, etc.)
- Signing the 'Volunteering Terms and Conditions (Form 2754)'
- Record of Offences Declaration
- Reference Checks
- Police Reference Check (in some positions)
Volunteering Terms and Conditions: In consideration for being permitted to participate as a volunteer with the City of Mississauga volunteer opportunities, volunteers must agree to a set of terms and conditions.
