City of Greater Bendigo

Volunteering at the City of Greater Bendigo

The team at the City have been working on preparing for our volunteers to return and it looks like this may happen in the first half of this year. This of course will all depend on the situation at the time.

The return date will not be the same for everyone. It will be a managed process.

Your Volunteer Coordinator will be in touch with you to let you know the next steps to returning to your volunteer activity.

If you are in the process of deciding to volunteer at the City we encourage you to keep and eye on this page as this will show you when your preferred activity has opened again.

It is also a requirement and a policy that all volunteers 18 years and over with the City of Greater Bendigo have a valid and successful working with children check and police check.

The City of Greater Bendigo is a child safe organisation

Acknowledgement of Country

“We acknowledge that the City of Greater Bendigo is on Dja Dja Wurrung and Taungurung Country.

I would like to acknowledge and extend my appreciation for the Dja Dja Wurrung people, the Traditional Owners of the land that we are standing on today.

Today, we pay our respects to leaders and Elder’s past, present and emerging for they hold the memories, the traditions, the culture and the hopes of all Dja Dja Wurrung* people.

We express our gratitude in the sharing of this land, our sorrow for the personal, spiritual and cultural costs of that sharing and our hope that we may walk forward together in harmony and in the spirit of healing”.
