Store Information
We are looking for volunteers to join the team in our Bakewell shop to support in all areas including: generating stock, merchandising, processing donations, raising awareness locally, assisting on the shop floor or supporting behind the scenes with social media and online sales.
The store is located at: 7 Portland Square, Bakewell DE45 1HA
The opening hours are: Monday-Saturday 9.00am-5.00pm Sundays: 10.00am-4.00pm
This is a great opportunity to become part of a great team, meet new people and gain retail skills.
Volunteering in our shops is very flexible, you can either commit to set hours each week or join us on a more flexible basis. Any time you can give helps us to fund our lifesaving missions.
In return we will give you all the training you need to be successful in the role, support from store management, a staff discount of 25% and the opportunity to gain experience working for a national charity.

Volunteer Opportunities
Volunteer Stock Processor
As a Volunteer Stock Processor, you would be a key part of the charity preparing our donated stock ready for sale, if you have a few hours a week to spare come & join us!
Our volunteers are essential in everything we do, last year contributing over 226,000 hours of their time to save lives.
Some of the tasks you could be involved in:
- Sorting, steaming & tagging stock
- Visual merchandising of windows & shop displays
- Updating our social media posts
- Receiving donations

Our Birstall Boutique charity shop is small and friendly, sells brand new and pre-loved items, including clothing, ornaments and other miscellaneous items.
Our shop volunteers carry out a wide variety of tasks from helping to sort through donations, organise our stock, merchandise window display, serve customers and much more.

No retail experience, no worries ,
This role is ideal for someone who likes to organise, maybe you are good at recognising familiar shop brands and labels, although this knowledge is not essential as we will provide all the training you need.
This is a great opportunity for someone who would like to sort through our bags of donated items and help price them up and get the to the shop floor as quickly as possible ready to sell.
