We are looking for volunteers to join the team in our Alfreton Superstore  to support in all areas including: generating stock, merchandising, processing donations, raising awareness locally, assisting on the shop floor or supporting behind the scenes with social media and online sales. 

The store is located at: Nottingham Road, Alfreton, DE55 4JJ
The opening hours are: Monday- Saturday 9am-6pm  Sunday 9.30am- 4pm

This is a great opportunity to become part of a great team, meet new people and gain retail skills. 
Volunteering in our shops is very flexible, you can either commit to set hours each week or join us on a more flexible basis. Any time you can give helps us to fund our lifesaving missions.

You may already have a good knowledge of antiques & collectables or be able to research our donations.

Volunteer Stock Processor

As a Volunteer Stock Processor, you would be a key part of the charity preparing our donated stock ready for sale, if you have a few hours a week to spare come & join us!

Warehouse Assistant/ Drivers Mate

We are looking for warehouse assistants to join our Alfreton Superstore 

As a Volunteer Warehouse Assistant you could get involved in:

 

  • Helping the team to remove sold furniture from the shop floor and replace with new stock
  • Assist drivers with furniture deliveries
  • Help with organisation and movement of incoming stock
  • Checking incoming stock

 

 

Please note- this volunteer role would require heavy lifting

Volunteer Furniture Upcycler

Are you great at upcycling furniture, if so you could help us by turning unwanted items into unique masterpieces for us to sell to make the most of every donation.

Previous experience of upcyling & furniture repair would be great but as long as you have an artistic flair you’ll be provided with all the training and tools you need.

This role is very flexible, any time you can give helps us to fund our lifesaving missions. As the charity will invest time in processing your application and providing you with training to carry out your role, ideally we ask that you volunteer for a minimum of 4 hours per week.

Warehouse Assistant/ Drivers Mate

We are looking for warehouse assistants to join our Daventry Home Shop

As a Volunteer Warehouse Assistant you could get involved in:

 

  • Helping the team to remove sold furniture from the shop floor and replace with new stock
  • Assist drivers with furniture deliveries
  • Help with organisation and movement of incoming stock
  • Checking incoming stock

Volunteer Electrical Donation Tester

Are you good with electricals and keen to learn a new skill?

This Electrical Donation tester role could be the perfect opportunity for you.

As an Electrical Donation Tester you would be getting involved in:

  • Trialling our electrical items donated to make sure all the functions work
  • Learning how to use the PAT testing machine to make sure the items are safe to use
  • Ensuring that once electrical items have been tested they are ready to be sold on the shop floor

Helping us to be able to sell our electrical donations really does make a huge difference to shop sales

Are you looking for a new Challenge?

Do you like being out and about meeting new people, Physically fit and able to lift and move items, work as part of a team?

Wollaton Shop

Store Information

We are looking for volunteers to join the team in our Wollaton shop to support in all areas including: generating stock, merchandising, processing donations, raising awareness locally, assisting on the shop floor or supporting behind the scenes with social media and online sales.

 
The store is located at: 160 Bramcote Lane, Wollaton NG8 2QP
The opening hours are: Monday-Saturday 9am-5pm  Sunday 10am-4pm


This is a great opportunity to become part of a great team, meet new people and gain retail skills. 
Volunteering in our shops is very flexible, you can either commit to set hours each week or join us on a more flexible basis. Any time you can give helps us to fund our lifesaving missions. 


In return we will give you all the training you need to be successful in the role, support from store management, a staff discount of 25% and the opportunity to gain experience working for a national charity.

Our volunteers are essential in everything we do, last year contributing over 226,000 hours of their time to save lives.

As a Volunteer Stock Processor, you would be a key part of the charity preparing our donated stock ready for sale, if you have a few hours a week to spare come & join us!
