Volunteer - Summer Camps at Lake St. George 2025

 

Volunteer Role Details:

Duration: Any week(s) from June 30th to August 29th, 2025

Volunteer Hours: 35 hrs/week

Work Location(s): Lake St. George Field Centre

Number of Vacancies: 6 per week

Division: Education & Training

How you will contribute as part of the TRCA Volunteer team:

Attention high school students! Gain experience working with children and get your volunteer hours in an active outdoor setting at Lake St. George's day camps this summer! You will support staff in leading a fun and safe camp experience, creating summertime memories for children from ages 4 -12. We offer a variety of themes such as Wilderness Survival, Backcountry Canoe Adventures, and Forest Magic. This position is ideal for those who love working with children, enjoy the outdoors, want to learn new skills or gain experience in an outdoor education setting. 

What you will do as a volunteer: 

  • Assist camp counsellors with various camp related activities
  • Engage campers with activities
  • Assist with set up and clean up of activities
  • Lead some games and activities
  • Support with supervision
  • Make camp fun for kids!
  • Other duties as assigned

What will you need to succeed: 

  • Must be at least 15 years old as of July 2025
  • Must be able to commit to at least one full week
  • Enjoy the outdoors
  • Enjoy crafts & games
  • Enjoy working with children
