How you will contribute as part of the TRCA Volunteer team:
Help with archeological activities on the Sebastien Site for the 2025 Boyd Archaeological Field School. Successful candidates will gain valuable archaeological skills and lab training from a professional archaeological organization.
What you will do as a volunteer:
- Assist on site with excavations
- Wash and sort artifacts in the lab
- Attend guest lectures and field trips
- Other tasks as assigned
What will you need to succeed:
- Experience with the Boyd Archaeological Field School
- Basic knowledge of artifact classes in Ontario
- Basic knowledge of excavation procedures
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to perform physical activity outdoors daily
- Interest in learning lab procedures
