Citizen Appointments to Committees


Council adopted Resolution 0051-2024 on March 20, 2024 to change the composition of the Combating Racism, Discrimination and Hatred Advisory Committee (CRDHC) to include one (1) citizen member of Jewish faith to be appointed to the Committee for a term of office until November 14, 2026, or until a successor is appointed.

The City of Mississauga is currently seeking one (1) citizen member of Jewish faith to sit on the Combating Racism, Discrimination and Hatred Advisory Committee (CRDHC).


Applicant Qualifications

Those applying must:

  • Be a Canadian Citizen
  • Be a Mississauga Resident or Business Owner;
  • Be a minimum of 18 years of age;
  • NOT be employed by the City of Mississauga or Region of Peel;
  • Identify as a person of Jewish faith; and
  • NOT have a criminal record for which a pardon has not been granted.

Application and Deadline

Applications will be accepted beginning Monday, March 25, 2024 until Monday, April 8, 2024.  Applications received after the deadline will be accepted, however will be considered late. We thank all who apply, however only those candidates selected for an interview will be contacted. All personal information is collected under the authority of the Municipal Act.
