Through your involvement you will learn a range of emergency service-related skills, that may include; First aid, casualty management, search and rescue, swift water theory, road safety, forensics, highway patrol, navigation, radio communications and much more. We also have a strong focus on team building and problem solving that will serve you well in whatever your eventual career path may be.
Support a Unit

Support the development of Young People as a leader with the Emergency Services Cadets program.
Emergency Services Cadets offers young people aged 12 to 17 the opportunity to develop a greater understanding of the emergency services sector, enhance their personal skills and learn more about the roles and responsibilities undertaken by various emergency services personnel.
Through your involvement you will support the operations of the unit, helping to facilitate sessions that support cadet learning across a range of emergency service-related skills. You do not need to be former Emergency Services personnel to take on a leader role within a unit - just a willingness to support young people's learning and development.
Please note all PCYC Volunteers require a Blue Card prior to starting.
