ESC - Wolffdene

We are the Wolffdene Unit of the PCYC Emergency Services Cadets, and our goal is to have young people, (12-17 years old) who are interested in an Emergency Services career, (either paid or voluntary), interacting and learning from personnel from a wide variety of services.
Learning basic skills, teamwork, taking care of yourself and others, and a sense of Community Service are what we are all about, while having some fun along the way.
Cadets gives young people who have a drive to help their community, the opportunity to learn from and interact with the real heroes of daily life, as well as finding out about what it takes to have a career in Emergency Services.
Training nights are on a Thursday during the school term, with usually one volunteering opportunity on a weekend every month.
If you are the type of person who likes to help others, then sign up for our next intake and see if PCYC Emergency Services Cadets are for you!

Support a Unit

Support Queensland's future Emergency Services Personnel as a leader with the Emergency Services Cadets program.
Emergency Services Cadets offers young people aged 12 to 17 the opportunity to develop a greater understanding of the emergency services sector, and the roles and responsibilities undertaken by various emergency services personnel.
Through your involvement you will support the operations of the unit, helping to facilitate sessions that support cadet learning across a range of emergency service-related skills. You do not need to be former Emergency Services personnel to take on a leader role within a unit - just a willingness to support young people's learning and development.
Please note all PCYC Volunteers are required to obtain a Blue Card prior to starting.
