PCYC Ipswich

PCYC Ipswich was officially opened on 13th November 1965 and has been serving the Ipswich community for over 50 years. Those years have seen the club grow to one of the largest PCYC Clubs in Queensland. We serve members from crawling to 70+ years of age.

In the early days, a group of dedicated individuals. raised the funds to build the original PCYC Ipswich building. One such fundraiser involved a boxing troupe which would go visit small country towns such as Esk and Boonah.

PCYC Ipswich is a not-for-profit organisation that allows affordable prices for activities, that can otherwise be out of reach to members within our communities. All our coaches and staff are fully trained and accredited in their respected activity / sport.

PCYC Ipswich prides itself on a strong, professional approach to providing a high-quality service standard to the Ipswich community.

PCYC Rockhampton

PCYC Rockhampton first opened in 1970 in the Tivoli Theatre on the south-side of the Fitzroy River. In 1977 a new building was built on the present site at Stapleton Park, North Rockhampton. Some 25 years later in 2002 the building received its first major addition – the Pulse Centre for young people and later a new skatepark was built adjacent to the building.

Throughout our time we have provided low cost activities for all ages and abilities, including Baton Twirling, Bike Education, Boxing, Gymnastics, Judo, Men’s Shed, Slimmers & Trampoline. In addition, we also provide programs for at risk or disadvantaged young people. These include Alternative Learning Space, Braking the Cycle, Youth Support Service and Get Set for Work.

Being a non for-profit organisation we rely on donations. One of these donations is time. We currently have over 40 volunteers which regularly donate their time, skills and knowledge to assist with the running’s of our activities & programs. Without volunteers we wouldn’t be able to achieve our vision- Building safer, healthier communities through Youth Development.

If you are interested in volunteering and making a difference to lives of young people & members of your local community, please contact the club. Whether it’s a couple days a week or a couple hours a week, every little bit helps.
