Centre for Career & Personal Development

The Centre for Career and Personal Development invites students, faculty, staff, and community members to volunteer with us.  We have volunteer opportunities in many different areas.  Please select the general interest areas that you would like to volunteer in, and we will be in touch with you! Selecting your interest areas is a key step for us to connect you with the right person.

Peer Helper roles are specifically designed for students to develop leadership skills, gain work experience, and add to your resume.  General volunteer roles are open to all.

Important Note: Before submitting your application, please make sure that you:

  • are over 18 years old
  • have Canadian Citizenship or Permanent Resident Status in Canada or are a current international student enrolled full time at the University of Calgary and hold a study permit.
  • have accepted the waiver in the application form

Current Volunteer Opportunities

Peer Helper - CCPD Event Support

Peer helpers are energetic and dedicated students who serve as ambassadors for several roles during the academic year. As a volunteer you will be representing the University of Calgary and act as a liaison between Centre for Career & Personal Development (CCPD), University of Calgary students, University of Calgary faculties and service unites, and community partners, including future employers. Examples of CCPD events include: Campus Expo, Career Fairs, and Employer Engagement events. 

Peer Helper - Front Desk & Admin Support

Be part of an amazing team in the Centre for Career & Personal Development (CCPD) that supports students, alumni, campus partners, and employers in all facets related to students’ campus, personal and career journey. The CCPD Front Desk Support positions in MSC 188 and MSC 171 will give students experience working in a multi-functional, high traffic office setting. The two key components of these positions are professional customer service and knowledge of the University and services available for students, alumni, campus partners, and employers in the Centre for Career & Personal Development (CCPD).
