Welcome Home Reentry Program - Montgomery County

Mission Statement

The goal of the Welcome Home Reentry Program is to help people returning to the community from incarceration to find and follow a path to a new life and avoid recidivism. We do this by creating a support network for each person who wants it beginning with a volunteer mentor who provides support and encouragement and holds up a vision for a better life. Together the returning citizen and mentor overcome big and small obstacles on route to finding a job, a safe place to live, and a community of support.

Special Request: Returned citizens who qualify are encouraged to become mentors: your experience is very valuable. You must have been cleared of all obligations to the authorities for at least 3 years, 3 months and 3 days. Research shows that successful reentry for at least this period of time provides the most valuable experience and witness to newly returned persons.
