Adam’s Place Men’s Shelter

Shelter Hospitality Volunteers

Shelter Hospitality Volunteers assist staff during intake time evenings from 6:30PM to 8:30PM.  Volunteers are asked to commit to volunteer once a week for 6 months.  Volunteer Service Office will have the volunteer attend general volunteer orientation and undergo a criminal background check and 2 reference checks.  Volunteers will receive a photo ID and yellow "volunteer" lanyard.

Volunteers work with staff one Saturday morning a month to do a "deep clean" of the shelter.

ERAP Volunteer

The ERAP (Emergency Rental Assistance Program) Volunteer works directly with people seeking assistance: interviews them about their needs, reviews their application for funding, and enters their applications into the online database. Volunteers also talk with people to identify and address case management goals, including participating in other SEFC programs: Family-to-Family Mentoring program and the Financial Stability Network.
