Since 1934, the Jewish General Hospital (JGH) has been providing cutting‑edge treatment and compassionate care to patients from diverse religious and cultural backgrounds in Montreal, throughout Quebec and beyond. As one of the province’s largest and busiest acute-care hospitals, this 637‑bed McGill University teaching hospital admits more than 25 000 patients a year, while handling at least 500 000 outpatient visits, 91 000 emergency visits and more than 4 500 births on an annual basis. The JGH is affiliated with McGill University and has one of the largest hospital sites in Canada.

Volunteering in the Hospital:

Provide guidance and direction to ensure the smooth flow of patients, other healthcare users and visitors through our hospitals;

Support healthcare workers in various departments and clinics;

Develop experience in a wide range of care units, including Emergency;

Participating in special activities, such as the CIUSSS Farmers’ Market and the Jewish General Hospital’s Jazz Festival.

Miriam Home has been providing services for people with intellectual disabilities and/or autism for over 60 years. We are happy to have you join our team!

Depuis plus de 60 ans, Centre Miriam offre des services aux personnes ayant une déficience intellectuelle et/ou autisme. Nous sommes heureux de vous compter parmi notre équipe!

Qui sommes nous / Who we are

Miriam Home and Services is dedicated to providing the highest quality of educational, residential, vocational and community services to persons with intellectual disabilities and/or autism spectrum disorders, so that they can reach their potential. Our organization strives for the highest standards of excellence in clinical practice, research and education. 

Volunteers are a vital part of our organization and work directly with our clientele, in either one of our programs or in a more informal setting. Volunteering at Miriam Home will involve creating at least one new and engaging relationship which could have a profound effect on that person's life, and yours.


Le Centre Miriam s'engage à fournir les meilleurs services éducatifs, résidentiels, communautaires et d'intégration professionnelle aux personnes présentant une déficience intellectuelle et/ou un trouble du spectre de l'autisme afin qu'elles puissent réaliser leur plein potentiel. Notre organisme s'efforce de respecter les normes d'excellence les plus élevées dans le domaine des soins, de la recherche et de l'education. 

Les bénévoles jouent un rôle essentiel au sein de notre organisation, car ils interagissent étroitement avec notre clientèle, dans le cadre de l'un de nos programmes ou de manière plus informelle. Le bénévolat au Centre Miriam entraînera l'établissement d'une relation sincère avec au moins une personne, relation qui pourrait avoir une incidence profonds sur la vie de cette personne ou sure la vôtre.
