Rugby Community Champions
Garden Organic are working in partnership with Rugby Borough Council to increase biodiversity in the borough, through engaging local people in organic gardening, whether that be in a community garden, allotment or their own growing spaces.
As part of the project, we are looking for ‘Community Champions’ who will become points of contact and advice for their local communities, delivering training and providing support. We will provide training and support for the ‘Community Champions’, as they encourage more people to engage with growing.
The intention is to connect local people with green spaces. We would love more people to have knowledge and skills, and feel inspired, to grow their own food, help biodiversity and prevent waste.
Would you like to help your local community connect to green spaces? Get in touch to find out how! For further information or if you'd like a chat about the role please contact local the Volunteer Coordinator at rugby@gardenorganic.org.uk.
If you are interested in becoming a Rugby Community Champion you can apply to join the programme by clicking the ‘Fill in an application’ button on the top right or bottom of this page.
