Community Grants Advisory Panel Member - Volunteer
Purpose
The Community Grants Advisory Panel provides recommendations to the Community Grants Program, Executive Management and Councillors.
Scope
The Community Grants Advisory Panel provides recommendations on funding allocations for the Medium and Partnering for Impact Grants categories. The Panel does not make final decisions. The Panel’s role is to provide relevant knowledge to increase the confidence of the grant decision-makers.
Description
Community Grants Advisory Panel members must be residents of Greater Bendigo and are appointed through a selection criteria and interview process. Panel members should be able to demonstrate commitment to improving outcomes for our community and be able to work well with others in a group process.
The Community Grants Advisory Panel meets approximately 3 times per year. Each meeting runs to a maximum of three hours. Members must undergo a complete on-boarding process including background checks and declare any conflicts of interest. In addition, Members:
- Must declare any conflict of interest with a grant submission.
- Are invited to join the Panel as individuals and not as representatives of an organisation.
- Will need an email address, internet connection and be able to use a simple spreadsheet or Word document to complete this role.
- Be willing to commit to the role for at least 1 year and a maximum of 4 years.
- Hold a valid Working With Children Check (Volunteer Level) and Police Check if 18 years and older
- Must adhere to the Code of Conduct and maintain confidentiality in all Panel proceedings.
