BARC

We view volunteers as vital to BARC’s success, essential to assisting us to provide high quality care for animals and be a dedicated service to our community. Volunteer roles are varied and include animal care, photography, gardening and even a bit of property maintenance! All roles are predominantly independent and require a level of self-sufficiency skills and problem solving.

We welcome volunteer applications from individuals who may need the assistance of a support worker to carry out their role safely. These volunteers must have their support worker present at all times, as the work team has limited capacity to provide additional support in the event of an unexpected or adverse situation.

Volunteer Role Description

Applicants need to be aged 16 years or over to Volunteer at BARC.

It is also a requirement that all volunteers 18 years and over have a valid and successful working with children check and police check.

The City is a child safe organisation.
