Volunteer with Hobart City Mission's programs to help people facing hardship and homelessness.
Hobart City Mission has a number of programs that provide housing, support and opportunities to people who are doing it tough.
Many of these programs are supported by teams of kind-hearted, compassionate volunteers that increase the impact of the program.
Programs that are often seeking volunteer support are:
- Safe Space - emergency shelter and safety for people sleeping rough
- Emergency Relief - food packs and other financial support for people struggling to put food on the table
- Small Steps - housing and support for young mums aged 15 - 25 and their children
- DIY Dads - housing and support for dads and their children
- Mountain View - long-term housing and support for people who have been facing homelessness
- 26TEN - reading, writing and maths skills for people who struggle with low literacy and numeracy
