General Interests
Ambassadors
Ambassadors- Games ambassadors are local experts that can provide visitors with information on things to see and do in Leduc and the area as well as being valuable sources of information about the Games.
Ceremonies & Protocol
Ceremonies and Protocol- Help kick off the Games by volunteering for the Opening Ceremonies on Thursday, August 21, 2025 and ensuring proper protocols are followed. This team also looks after planning and hosting the athlete banquet on Saturday, August 22, 2025.
Communications
Communications- Support the marketing and communications team by creating content for social media posts, updating the website and general games communications
Food Services
Food Services- Assist the food services team in keeping the athletes fed! Help distribute food to all of our participants, and run food stations. This includes lunches, banquet, BBQ, and snack and coffee stations.
Hydration Team
Help keep our athletes hydrated! Water stations will be set up throughout the event, we need your help to keep them stocked and clean.
Medal Presentations
Medal Presentations- Help award our athletes! Assist during medal presentations by handing out awards, and ensuring medal ceremonies run smoothly
Medical Services / First Aid
Medical Services/First Aid- Keep our athletes safe, by assisting within the medical/first aid stations. Help keep these stations stocked, and provide care when needed.
Transportation, Parking & Traffic Control
Parking and Traffic Control- Ensure event participants arrive at the location safely! Assist in direct traffic and parking throughout the event parking lot.
Participant Entertainment
This team puts the fun in fun and games! There are several fun events for volunteers to choose from including a social after the opening ceremonies, exclusive tours to showcase Leduc and area, and the Friday night social.
Registration Centre
Registration Centre- Ensure all participants get registered at their required events. Help staff the registration center by checking in athletes.
Results
Results- Using spreadsheets, track the results of each competition to record overall placings, the podiums and qualifiers that will represent Alberta at the Canadian 55plus Summer Games
Security
Security- Ensure safety of all participants by providing a secure location! Help provide security in event spaces.
Signage
Signage- Help our events run smoothly by putting up proper signage throughout the event space. Assist in taking down signage when events conclude.

Leduc & District Food Bank
Position Details:
- Drivers
- This position will work with a partner and share driving responsibilities
Pickup donations within Leduc, Beaumont and Devon. Food bank Vans are used for pick ups - 4 positions available
- Mon., Wed., Fri. 7:15 am – early afternoon
- Qualifications:
- Minimum age 18 yrs.
- Criminal records check
- Drivers abstract
- Ability to lift up to 30- 50lbs
- This position will work with a partner and share driving responsibilities
- Warehouse Volunteers
- This position consists of sorting food donations, assisting with our recycling program, and helping with other tasks as needed.
- 4 positions available
- Weekday- Mornings
- Qualifications:
- Minimum age 18 yrs.
- Drivers abstract
- Criminal records check (letter supplied for crime check)
- Ability to lift is helpful but not mandatory

Shelter Movers ( Edmonton and Region)
Location: Edmonton & Surrounding Area
Position 1:
- Assist lead movers with moving client belongings from location to location
Qualifications:
- Ability to lift over 15lbs and stand for periods of time
- Ability to work with others
- Maintain clear communications
- Handle client belongings with care
- awareness of boundaries
- Must have own transportation
- OH&S training will be provided/ Must wear closed toes footwear
Schedule :
- Shifts - Flexible and vary based on needs of move & volunteers
- Approx. 4 - 6 hrs. per move
Position 2:
- Assist lead movers with moving client belongings from location to location using your own vehicle

Schedule of Position: October 20th, 26th, and 27th 10am-3pm
Qualifications: Lifting 20+ lbs., interacting with other volunteers, bending down to work on small decorations
Position 2:
Name of Position: Gate Admission
Schedule of Position: November 30th – December 31st 5pm-9pm
Qualifications: Interacting with public, standing for long periods of time
Position 3:
Name of Position: Parking attendant
Schedule of Position: December Weekends Fri, Sat, Sun 5pm-10pm
Qualifications: interacting with public, standing for long periods of time, managing the flow of traffic
Position 4:
