Leduc Art Club Board Positions

Organization name: Leduc Art Club


Mission/Vision: To engage in, promote and organize social, cultural and art-related educational activities to people of all ages and abilities in a safe, welcoming environment.  Enriching Leduc by being the destination where artists and community come together to explore, create and inspire one another.

Board Position: Treasurer

  • Position requirements: Required to submit a resume, sign a confidentiality agreement, provide a recent police and vulnerable sector check. Receives all monies paid to the society. Deposits all Society monies into Society bank account. Promptly execute Leduc Art Club financial transactions. Maintains the financial documents, detailed accounts of receipts and disbursements to the board. Prepares a monthly bank balance and financial statement, and a financial statement for the AGM. Provide financial statements for grants. In collaboration with the President and Vice President will prepare the budget prior to the fiscal year end. Attend monthly board meetings and annual General Meeting. Advise on financial decisions and budgeting. Handles and saves all financial records. Prepare payments for the board to sign.  Ensure three board members will have signing authority including the president, treasurer and other board members.
  • Term and Meeting Schedule: 2 year term. Monthly meetings on 2nd Monday of each month.
  • Time Commitments: 20-25 hours per month pending if you input deposits and/or invoices daily.
  • Qualifications: Current treasurer will train and spend time until you are confident taking this position. Treasurer’s duties list outlined in the Leduc Art Club Official Bylaws, and their Policies and Procedures. An understanding of basic Quickbooks Program is essential. The understanding that you are running, and treat this position as a business that is totally separate from any Leduc Art Club Programs. Attention to details, attentive and enjoys interacting with the social atmosphere of the club and board members. Needs to be a member of the Society.

Board Position: Secretary

  • Position requirements: Record and distribute the minutes of meetings of the board, Annual General Meeting and general meetings, program/event and special event meetings. Maintain spreadsheets, membership information, teachers schedule, pay and registration, class and workshop registration as well as creation and maintenance of a spreadsheet for tracking hours usage of our space to be submitted and paid monthly. Help with letters and documentation needed for our annual shows.
  • Term and Meeting Schedule: 2 year term. Monthly meetings on 2nd Monday of each month.
  • Time Commitments: 1-6 hours per week outside of monthly board meetings and any event meetings if necessary.
  • Qualifications: Be able to work in google docs, drive, and spreadsheets. Attention to detail, taking notes, send emails to members as required. Must be a member of the Society.

Leduc Square Dance Club Board Position

 

Organization name: Leduc Square Dance Club

Mission/Vision: Leduc Square Dance provides a lively, fun, safe, inclusive environment where dancers of all ages and abilities in the Leduc area can enjoy the social, physical, and recreational aspects of modern square dance at a reasonable cost.

Location: Telford House, 4907 46 St, Leduc

Board Position: Treasurer

  • Position requirements: Ability to handle and count cash and complete forms; computer literacy required. At each weekly dance, register members and guests and collect admissions; maintain computer records of money handled and reconcile to bank statements; make deposits and issue receipts as required; pay all bills of the club; provide a monthly report to the board.
  • Time Commitment: About 1.5 hours per week for registration, perhaps 2 hours per week for the rest, with workload being greater in September and January.
  • Term and Meeting Schedule: 1 year term commencing April 8th
  • Qualifications: You do not need to be a square dancer!

Leduc Boat Club Instructors

Leduc Boat Club is recruiting Outreach Instructors for the 2026 season.

Location: Leduc Boat Club on Telford Lake

 

Position: Outreach Instructor

Time Commitment: Mainly during school hours, various days of week, few weekends. Shifts up to 3 hours.

Required Qualifications: Current First Aid Certificate, Safe Sport on-line Training (Free)

Sport specific training (not all required): Canoe Kids (Canoe and Kayak) or Paddle Canada Instructor status in canoe or SUP, Dragon Boat Canada Instructor, Learn to Row Instructor, Pleasure Craft Operator’s Card. Leduc Boat Club can provide training for the sports that may interest you.

Good Neighbours - Block Connector

What is a Block Connector?
Block Connectors are residents who are willing to chat with the closest 10-20 households on their block, connect at an activity once a year and receive training offered through our Family & Community Support Services team. 

Do you have the traits of a Block Connector?
Block Connectors are trustworthy, friendly, open, kind and attentive. They are interested in meeting new people, building connections and bringing people together. Does this sound like you? If so, we would love to hear from you!

What do Connectors do?
As a Block Connector, you would be asked to:

  • Have a chat with 10-20 households on your block
  • Help connect neighbours at an activity once per year
  • Attend connector orientation
  • Act as a contact person for your street, apartment or condo complex

Maclab Centre for the Performing Arts

Welcome to the Maclab Centre for the Performing Arts Volunteer Front-of-House Team!!!

You will be the front-line personnel providing customer service for the Maclab Centre for the Performing Arts.  You will be trained in the policies and procedures for operating the Maclab Centre in a safe and friendly manner.

You are part of the team that will facilitate an enjoyable evening, a fabulous concert and create a home for the arts in Leduc.  Your volunteer services will contribute to the creation of a warm and friendly atmosphere at the Maclab Centre.
