Positions Available(s): Card Bingo, horseraces, crafters corner.

Position 1:

                Name of Position: Card Bingo

                Schedule of Position:

  • Monday afternoons weekly from 1:30-2:30.

Qualifications:

Card Bingo is a favorite game within our lodge. You would be using a deck of playing cards to play the bingo game. Interested individuals must have a passion for helping others. Have a desire to interacting with the public, residents and tenants in a kind manner. Must be 18 years of age and willing to complete a volunteer application form and receive a current clear police information check with vulnerable sector. Once these forms are completed you would book an interview with our Recreation & Volunteer Manager to complete orientation.

 

Position 2:

                Name of Position: Crafters Corner

                Schedule of Position:

  • Monday and Thursday mornings weekly from 10:30-11:30

               

 

Qualifications:

  • Crafters Corner requires someone with a passion to create and to come up with new crafts weekly.  Interested individuals must have a passion for helping others. Must be 18 years of age and willing to complete a volunteer application form and receive a current clear police information check with vulnerable sector. Once these forms are completed you would book an interview with our Recreation & Volunteer Manager to complete orientation.

Position 3:

                Name of Position: Horseraces

                Schedule of Position:     

  • Tuesday afternoons weekly from 2:30-3:30 and Thursday evenings from 6:30-7:30

 

                Qualifications:

  • Horseraces is a fun, interactive game that is a crowd pleaser among the seniors. Interested individuals must have a passion for helping others. Have a desire to interacting with the public, residents and tenants in a kind manner. Must be 18 years of age and willing to complete a volunteer application form and receive a current clear police information check with vulnerable sector. Once these forms are completed you would book an interview with our Recreation & Volunteer Manager to complete orientation.

Canadian Energy Museum - Board Opportunities

  • Treasurer - 2 year term
    • Position requirements  
      • Attend monthly board meetings 
      • organizing monthly finances from the bookkeeper reports and present to the board 
      • attendance at annual general meetings 
      • support special events 
      • organize the accountants for the society's year-end with assistance from the bookkeeper and the executive Director 
      • Has signing authority for cheques 
      • participate in board discussions
    • Qualifications: 
      • Knowledge and skills in policy and/or finance
      • A working understanding of museums and/or non-profits, their operating best practices and procedures
      • Commitment to the work of the organization
      • Willingness to serve on committees

      • Ability to work collaboratively as a team member to achieve museum goals

Position Details: 

Morning into afternoon
 
Positions Available: 
  • Drivers
    • This position will work with a partner and share driving responsibilities
      Pickup donations within Leduc, Beaumont and Devon. Food bank Vans are used for pick ups
    • 4 positions available 
    • Mon., Wed., Fri. 7:15 am – early afternoon
    • Qualifications:
      • Minimum age 18 yrs.

      • Drivers abstract 
      • Ability to lift up to 30- 50lbs 
  • Warehouse Volunteers 
    • This position consists of sorting food donations, assisting with our recycling program, and helping with other tasks as needed.

Leduc Hub Association

 

 

Leduc Hub Association works works together with other community agencies to help lighten the burden of some of our most vulnerable citizens and connect them with the proper supports. We offer a free coffee bar, a coffee shop where you can sit in community, free showers and laundry, help with financial needs, as well as transportation. In the winter we become an overnight shelter as well.

Good Neightbours - Block Connector

What is a Block Connector?
Block Connectors are residents who are willing to chat with the closest 10-20 households on their block, connect at an activity once a year and receive training offered through our Family & Community Support Services team. 

Do you have the traits of a Block Connector?
Block Connectors are trustworthy, friendly, open, kind and attentive. They are interested in meeting new people, building connections and bringing people together. Does this sound like you? If so, we would love to hear from you!

What do Connectors do?
As a Block Connector, you would be asked to:

  • Have a chat with 10-20 households on your block
  • Help connect neighbours at an activity once per year
  • Attend connector orientation
  • Act as a contact person for your street, apartment or condo complex

You will be the front-line personnel providing customer service for the Maclab Centre for the Performing Arts.  You will be trained in the policies and procedures for operating the Maclab Centre in a safe and friendly manner.

You are part of the team that will facilitate an enjoyable evening, a fabulous concert and create a home for the arts in Leduc.  Your volunteer services will contribute to the creation of a warm and friendly atmosphere at the Maclab Centre.
