Accommodation
Accommodation- Liaise with the host hotels and transportation services to ensure that Games participants and fans have an incredible experience in our community.
Ambassadors
Ambassadors- Games ambassadors are local experts that can provide visitors with information on things to see and do in Leduc and the area as well as being valuable sources of information about the Games.
Ceremonies & Protocol
Ceremonies and Protocol- Help kick off the Games by volunteering for the Opening Ceremonies on Thursday, August 21, 2025 and ensuring proper protocols are followed. This team also looks after planning and hosting the athlete banquet on Saturday, August 22, 2025.
Communications
Communications- Support the marketing and communications team by creating content for social media posts, updating the website and general games communications
Facilities
Facilities- Prepare, set up and manage the venues to create a positive atmosphere and experience for the competitors.
Food Services
Food Services- Assist the food services team in keeping the athletes fed! Help distribute food to all of our participants, and run food stations. This includes lunches, banquet, BBQ, and snack and coffee stations.
Fundraising and Sponsorship
Fundraising and Sponsorship- Help raise the funds needed to host the Games and to leave a lasting legacy for Leduc’s older adults.
General Volunteer - Help Where Needed
General Volunteer- Assist where needed throughout the event. Provide a helping hand throughout a variety of areas, where assistance is needed
Hydration Team
Help keep our athletes hydrated! Water stations will be set up throughout the event, we need your help to keep them stocked and clean.
Medal Presentations
Medal Presentations- Help award our athletes! Assist during medal presentations by handing out awards, and ensuring medal ceremonies run smoothly
Medical Services / First Aid
Medical Services/First Aid- Keep our athletes safe, by assisting within the medical/first aid stations. Help keep these stations stocked, and provide care when needed.
Merchandise / Souvenirs
Merchandise/souvenirs- Help distribute merchandise items to participants. Assist at merchandise/souvenir tables, and help keep them stocked.
Transportation, Parking & Traffic Control
Parking and Traffic Control- Ensure event participants arrive at the location safely! Assist in direct traffic and parking throughout the event parking lot.
Participant Entertainment
This team puts the fun in fun and games! There are several fun events for volunteers to choose from including a social after the opening ceremonies, exclusive tours to showcase Leduc and area, and the Friday night social.
Registration Centre
Registration Centre- Ensure all participants get registered at their required events. Help staff the registration center by checking in athletes.
Results
Results- Using spreadsheets, track the results of each competition to record overall placings, the podiums and qualifiers that will represent Alberta at the Canadian 55plus Summer Games
Security
Security- Ensure safety of all participants by providing a secure location! Help provide security in event spaces.
Signage
Signage- Help our events run smoothly by putting up proper signage throughout the event space. Assist in taking down signage when events conclude.

MS Bike Leduc to Camrose

Location: Various locations in Leduc and surrounding areas; 2307 4 St., Nisku, Alberta
The 2025 MS Bike - Leduc to Camrose is back on June 21st and June 22nd. The ride starts at Silent Ice Centre in Leduc and ends at the CRE in Camrose with several rest stops along the way.
MS Bike is an energizing challenge you can feel good about. Going the distance makes a difference and every kilometer ridden brings us closer to a world free of multiple sclerosis. By volunteering, you'll play a crucial role in making this event a success while having fun, meeting new people, and supporting people affected by MS.
These events would not be possible without the support of hundreds of dedicated volunteers donating their time. Volunteers are needed in a variety of areas and roles to help ensure a smooth event and provide an exceptional experience for cyclists as they ride to raise funds to support those affected by MS:

Girl Guides Leduc
Girl Guides Canada - Leduc is looking for Volunteer Leaders!

We empower young girls and women to be everything they want to be, and as a volunteer, you will help make that happen! Our volunteers support girls as they build confidence, develop new skills and become leaders in their communities. As part of a unit’s leadership team, you’ll facilitate fun and engaging program activities, like scavenger hunts, arts and crafts, outdoor exploration, games and more with our Guides (9-11 years). Volunteers will receive access to a digital program platform stocked with age-appropriate activities and meeting tools, as well as training on how to deliver activities in ways that will empower and encourage girls. Units meet on a regular basis, from weekly to monthly, depending on the age of the girls. Volunteers commit to 3 hours per week for unit meetings plus additional hours, when required, for trips and events.

What you will Do as A Volunteer?
Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive space for girls! - Plan regular unit meetings in person, outdoors and online, during which you’ll facilitate girl-driven programming that is fun and engaging. - Organize in-person or virtual opportunities beyond unit meetings, including community service activities and camps. - Support shared leadership and decision-making with girls and other volunteers. - Promote Girl Guides to girls and women locally. - Provide ongoing communication to girls and parents/guardians about unit activities. - Assist with unit administration tasks, such as maintaining girls’ program records and health forms, managing safety protocols, and ordering badges. - Assist with maintaining unit finances as required by your province. - Support the semi-annual sales of Girl Guide Cookies. Digital Sign Content Creator Volunteer - Leduc Grain Elevator
Are you creative, tech-savvy, and looking for a meaningful way to support local history and community events? We’re looking for a volunteer to manage and update the digital sign at the Leduc Grain Elevator using a user-friendly system called Bright Author Connected.

What You’ll Do:
- Design engaging slide content using Canva (a free, online graphic design tool).
- Transfer your designs to a local computer using a USB drive.
- Update and manage the sign’s playlist using Bright Author Connected software (training provided).
- Schedule content to display at appropriate times to promote events, community messages, and sponsor recognition.
- Create and maintain a scheduling plan for sponsor content based on a provided example in the shared drive. This helps ensure sponsors are regularly acknowledged and appreciated throughout the year.

We’re seeking a volunteer Social Media Coordinator to help bring the history and charm of the Leduc Heritage Grain Elevator to life across digital platforms.
Volunteer Opportunity: Social Media Coordinator
Location: Leduc Heritage Grain Elevator
Commitment: 2–4 hours per week (flexible), with more during key events
What You’ll Do:
• Plan, create, and schedule content across Instagram and Facebook using Meta Business Suite, ensuring posts are consistent with the brand and aligned with key dates (e.g., Art Walk, Canada Day, Farmer’s Day).
• Incorporate archival photos and historical facts into posts to educate and engage the community.
• Develop and maintain a consistent hashtag strategy to boost visibility and reinforce our voice.
• Engage with followers by responding to comments and messages, and by liking, sharing, and commenting on relevant local content.
• Partner with local influencers and community groups to promote events and expand reach.
• Track performance metrics (reach, engagement, follows) and provide insights on what’s working and what can be improved.
