Leduc & District Food Bank
Position Details:
- Drivers
- This position will work with a partner and share driving responsibilities
Pickup donations within Leduc, Beaumont and Devon. Food bank Vans are used for pick ups - 4 positions available
- Mon., Wed., Fri. 7:15 am – early afternoon
- Qualifications:

- This position consists of sorting food donations, assisting with our recycling program, and helping with other tasks as needed.

Girl Guides Leduc
Girl Guides Canada- Leduc is looking for Volunteer Leaders !
We empower young girls and women to be everything they want to be, and as a volunteer, you will help make that happen! Our volunteers support girls as they build confidence, develop new skills and become leaders in their communities. As part of a unit’s leadership team, you’ll facilitate fun and engaging program activities, like scavenger hunts, arts and crafts, outdoor exploration, games and more with our Guides (9-11 years). Volunteers will receive access to a digital program platform stocked with age-appropriate activities and meeting tools, as well as training on how to deliver activities in ways that will empower and encourage girls. Units meet on a regular basis, from weekly to monthly, depending on the age of the girls. Volunteers commit to 3 hours per week for unit meetings plus additional hours, when required, for trips and events.

What you will Do as A Volunteer?
Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive space for girls! - Plan regular unit meetings in person, outdoors and online, during which you’ll facilitate girl-driven programming that is fun and engaging. - Organize in-person or virtual opportunities beyond unit meetings, including community service activities and camps. - Support shared leadership and decision-making with girls and other volunteers. - Promote Girl Guides to girls and women locally. - Provide ongoing communication to girls and parents/guardians about unit activities. - Assist with unit administration tasks, such as maintaining girls’ program records and health forms, managing safety protocols, and ordering badges. - Assist with maintaining unit finances as required by your province. - Support the semi-annual sales of Girl Guide Cookies. What You Need: - All volunteers must have reached the age of majority in their province or territory. - Pass a Police Record Check facilitated by Girl Guides of Canada. - Follow Guiding protocols and vaccination policy, volunteers must be fully vaccinated to take part in in-person activities. - Complete organizational training components on safety, the role and administrative duties, as part of the volunteer onboarding process.

Shelter Movers ( Edmonton and Region)
Location: Edmonton & Surrounding Area
Position 1:
- Assist lead movers with moving client belongings from location to location
Qualifications:
- Ability to lift over 15lbs and stand for periods of time
- Ability to work with others
- Maintain clear communications
- Handle client belongings with care
- awareness of boundaries
- Must have own transportation
- OH&S training will be provided/ Must wear closed toes footwear
Schedule :
- Shifts - Flexible and vary based on needs of move & volunteers
- Approx. 4 - 6 hrs. per move

Alright folks!
The days are getting warmer, our bug friends are starting to wake up from under the dead leaves, and that means it's time to do a little clean-up of our site and assess what we want to grow for this year!

Leduc Grain Elevator Spring Clean Up
LOCATION: 5209 47 St, Leduc, AB
DATE: Saturday, May 3rd, 2025
TIME: 10-2pm
We're preparing our site for the season ahead!
Tasks include some lifting, raking, brainstorming, etc
We will have a stock of gloves to use but you can also bring your own and please consider footwear with a thicker sole and hard toe that's comfortable and keeps you safe!
Other great items to bring - a reusable water bottle, hat, sun protection, protective eyewear.

We encourage anyone with extra seeds or starts to bring them along so we can share our bounty with others!
Oh and... there will be snacks ;)
