Position 1:

                Name of Position: Card Bingo

                Schedule of Position:

  • Monday afternoons weekly from 1:30-2:30.

Qualifications:

Card Bingo is a favorite game within our lodge. You would be using a deck of playing cards to play the bingo game. Interested individuals must have a passion for helping others. Have a desire to interacting with the public, residents and tenants in a kind manner. Must be 18 years of age and willing to complete a volunteer application form and receive a current clear police information check with vulnerable sector. Once these forms are completed you would book an interview with our Recreation & Volunteer Manager to complete orientation.

 

Position 2:

                Name of Position: Crafters Corner

                Schedule of Position:

  • Monday and Thursday mornings weekly from 10:30-11:30

               

 

Qualifications:

  • Crafters Corner requires someone with a passion to create and to come up with new crafts weekly.  Interested individuals must have a passion for helping others. Must be 18 years of age and willing to complete a volunteer application form and receive a current clear police information check with vulnerable sector. Once these forms are completed you would book an interview with our Recreation & Volunteer Manager to complete orientation.

Position 3:

                Name of Position: Horseraces

                Schedule of Position:     

  • Tuesday afternoons weekly from 2:30-3:30 and Thursday evenings from 6:30-7:30

 

                Qualifications:

  • Horseraces is a fun, interactive game that is a crowd pleaser among the seniors. Interested individuals must have a passion for helping others. Have a desire to interacting with the public, residents and tenants in a kind manner. Must be 18 years of age and willing to complete a volunteer application form and receive a current clear police information check with vulnerable sector. Once these forms are completed you would book an interview with our Recreation & Volunteer Manager to complete orientation.

  • Various days depending on scheduled trips for the month.

               

 

Qualifications:

  • Interested applicants must have a Class 4 license and provide a clean drivers abstract.
  • Must be 18 years of age and willing to complete a volunteer application form and receive a current clear police information check with vulnerable sector. Once these forms are completed you would book an interview with our Recreation & Volunteer Manager to complete orientation.

Safe Refuge Youth Homes of Canada Inc. - Board Opportunities

Vision/ Mission Statement: 
Giving teens a place of refuge during a time of temporary or permanent unrest at home. 

Available Position(s):

Position 1: Board Member 

  • Requirements of Position(s):
  • To have the ability to help write up policies needed for the youth home and help wherever needed.  
    • Term & Meeting Schedule:
      • 2 year Term
  • Qualification:
  • First of all, have a huge heart for the teenagers of Leduc, a desire to help teens in trouble, to have an understanding of policies and be able to help us to create our policies to help us get started. Some experience preferred.

  • To be the go to person for volunteers in any position, to be organized and efficient in keeping track of what has been done and what needs to be done.

    Name of Position:

Volunteer Board Member at Large (Virtual) 

   Position requirements: 

The Health Coalition of Alberta’s Board of Directors comprises of volunteer leaders from the health and patient group sector who are dedicated to our mission. They form a governance Board focused on creating the overall strategic plan that guides the work of our Executive Director.   

Our Board consists of active advocates and members of the Health Coalition of Alberta.  Primary responsibilities for all Board members include:  

  • Set the vision, strategies and direction for the Coalition. 
  • Ensure that the Coalition remains financially viable. 
  • Promote the Coalition through the media, related organizations and agencies. 
  • Establish policies and guidelines for the appropriate operation of the Coalition. 
  • Exercise fiduciary responsibilities through prudent risk management. 

    Term and Meeting Schedule:

Board terms last for 2 years and Board members can serve for up to 3 consecutive terms. The Board typically holds 10 virtual meetings per year and hosts an annual general meeting.

    Time Commitments:

Attend monthly Board meetings (virtual) 

    Qualifications: 

The ideal board candidate should be a resident of Alberta and have experience in at least one of the following: working in a managerial or supervisor role, prior non-profit board member experience or have received formal board training.

    Work with the program committee on registration booklets, number of students registered,

    cancellation. Be a backup to ensure that needs are met for the first day of class for the teacher
    for the committee, rescheduling. Works with web administrators, social media and LAF to get

Leduc Hub Association

 

 

Leduc Hub Association works works together with other community agencies to help lighten the burden of some of our most vulnerable citizens and connect them with the proper supports. We offer a free coffee bar, a coffee shop where you can sit in community, free showers and laundry, help with financial needs, as well as transportation. In the winter we become an overnight shelter as well.
