Food Services

Food Services- Assist the food services team in keeping the athletes fed! Help distribute food to all of our participants, and run food stations. This includes lunches, banquet, BBQ, and snack and coffee stations. 

General Volunteer - Help Where Needed

General Volunteer- Assist where needed throughout the event. Provide a helping hand throughout a variety of areas, where assistance is needed 

Hydration Team

Help keep our athletes hydrated!  Water stations will be set up throughout the event, we need your help to keep them stocked and clean. 

Volunteer Appreciation

Volunteer Appreciation- Help us provide much needed appreciation for all of our volunteers at a post-Games volunteer appreciation banquet

Leduc & District Food Bank

Position Details: 

Morning into afternoon
 
Positions Available: 
  • Drivers
    • This position will work with a partner and share driving responsibilities
      Pickup donations within Leduc, Beaumont and Devon. Food bank Vans are used for pick ups
    • 4 positions available 
    • Mon., Wed., Fri. 7:15 am – early afternoon
    • Qualifications:
      • Minimum age 18 yrs. 
      • Criminal records check 
      • Drivers abstract 
      • Ability to lift up to 30- 50lbs 
  • Warehouse Volunteers 
    • This position consists of sorting food donations, assisting with our recycling program, and helping with other tasks as needed.
    • 4 positions available 
    • Weekday- Mornings
    • Qualifications: 
      • Minimum age 18 yrs. 
      • Drivers abstract 
      • Criminal records check (letter supplied for crime check) 
      • Ability to lift is helpful but not mandatory

Positions Available(s):

Position 1:

                Name of Position: Snack table attendant

                Schedule of Position:

  • 12:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.

                Qualifications:

  • Ability to monitor and refresh snacks (fruit trays/cupcakes) and drinks (juice boxes/water bottles) as needed
  • Enjoy working with the public in a fast-paced environment.

Position 2:

                Name of Position: Activity table attendant

                Schedule of Position: 12:00 – 3:00 p.m.

                Qualifications:  

  • Assist with a variety of activity stations e.g. coloring, button making, photo booth.
  • Enjoy working with the public in fast paced environments. Particularly children.

Position 3:

                Name of Position: Greeter

                Schedule of Position: 12:45 – 3:00 p.m.

                Qualifications:

  • Welcome attendees
  • Answer directional questions e.g. Where is the bathroom? Where are the snacks?  
  • Familiarity with the Leduc civic center is a plus!

Position 4:

                Name of Position: Social Media Assistant

                Schedule of Position: 12:30 – 3:00 p.m.

                Qualifications:

  • Help us capture the exciting events and spread the word to those who can’t be there in person by live streaming.
  • Familiarity with Instagram live or Facebook live are a plus
  • Devices will be provided and familiarity with tablets and phones is a plus.

Position 5:

                Name of Position: Traffic Flow

                Schedule of Position: 12:30 – 3:15 p.m.

                Qualifications:

  • Mingle with attendees while guiding them to designated areas for snacks, activities etc.
  • Prevent congestion in high traffic areas.
  • Familiarity with the civic center is a plus.

 

Position 6:

                Name of Position: Set Up

                Schedule of Position: 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

                Qualifications:

  • Ability to bend
  • Lift up to 50 lbs. (unlikely but possible)
  • Decorating

Position 7:

                Name of Position: Take Down

                Schedule of Position: 2:45 p.m. – 3:45 p.m.

                Qualifications:

  • Ability to bend
  • Lift up to 50 lbs. (unlikely but possible)
  • Light Garbage collection
  • Other varying clean up duties.
