Do you have an hour or two every week to help students in primary or secondary schools?

Currently, we have volunteer positions for people who wish to provide in classroom academic support or to be Mentors providing social and emotional support in local schools in Hume and Moreland areas during school hours in 2023. 

In particular, we are looking for people in the Dallas and Sunbury areas.

Hands on Learning - Save the Children

Hands on Learning is a school based program for students who are disengaged or at risk of disengaging from school for differing reasons. Hands on Learning provides a safe place to belong, a group to belong to, real things to do and a chance to give back. 

If you have practical hands on skills such as; building, carpentry, plumbing, bricklaying, landscaping, gardening, or art and would like to work with young people in need get in touch with us. Experience working with children is an advantage. A Working with Children Check is necessary. 

A position is currently available in Craigieburn for one day a week working on a Friday with students in Grades 8 - 10.

Uniting (Victoria & Tasmania) *

Uniting is a merger of 21 founding Uniting Care community services agencies operating in Victoria and Tasmania and Wesley Mission Victoria. Once the merger is completed in mid-2017, Uniting will be one of the largest community service providers within Victoria and Tasmania.
