Welcome to National Mill Dog Rescue – Become a Volunteer!
Thank you for your interest in volunteering with National Mill Dog Rescue! Our volunteers are the heart of our mission, working together to give commercial breeding survivors a second chance at life. Whether you’re helping care for the dogs, assisting with adoptions, providing medical support, or lending a hand at events, every role makes a difference.
To get started:
1. Complete a volunteer application by clicking the link that says “NMDR Peyton” and then “fill in an application.”
2. Sign up for a New Volunteer Orientation—this is a required step before volunteering.
3. Once orientation is complete, you’ll be able to choose teams and shifts that fit your interests and schedule.
4. Please download the “My Impact” app and log in using the same credentials you used to sign up for orientation. We’d love for you to be logged in before your scheduled orientation so we can walk you through the app during the session. Look for the logo below when downloading.

Volunteer Requirements:
• The minimum age to volunteer is 13 years old.
• Volunteers ages 13-15 must have a parent or guardian complete orientation with them and be present during all shifts.
• Volunteers 16 and older may volunteer independently.
We’re excited to welcome you to our team and can’t wait for you to meet our incredible dogs! If you have any questions, please reach out to Joni Williams (Joniw@nmdr.org).
Thank you for your compassion and willingness to make a difference!
