About the Food Drive

The Letter Carriers’ Stamp Out Hunger® Food Drive is an annual community service effort organized by the National Association of Letter Carriers (NALC). On the second Saturday in May, letter carriers across the United States head out on their routes to collect non-perishable food items from generous postal customers. Since its launch in 1993, this initiative has grown into the nation’s largest one-day food drive, benefiting local food pantries and helping to fill the shelves of food banks in cities and towns throughout the country.
