- Grow in Community Engagement
General Interests
Cherry Trees (East Clandon)
Cherry Trees supports some of the most vulnerable children in Surrey, as well as their families. Our home from home respite care is a lifeline to over 100 families. As a volunteer, you can be part of the Cherry Trees community, making a difference every single day.
Mission Statement
Our purpose
To be a force for good by transforming lives through exceptional home from home care for children with all disabilities and their families.
Our Vision
Our doors will always be open to families in need throughout the South East, by being a much loved and supported charity.
Our Values
Our aim at Cherry Trees is to offer the opportunity to children with learning and physical disabilities, most of which are severe, to enhance their quality of life by providing a safe, home-like environment whilst also providing their parents with a meaningful break.
General Interests
Mane Chance Sanctuary (Compton)
Mission Statement
The Mane Chance mission is to rescue and rehabilitate old, abused and abandoned horses. Our aim is to integrate them with the local community, welcoming sick, special needs and underprivileged youngsters to our Sanctuary and bringing our equine residents to those who are not able to travel.
General Interests
National Trust - Polesden Lacey (Great Bookham, Near Dorking)
The National Trust - Polesden Lacey has now fully reopened post Covid 19 and we are now seeking new volunteers to help with the running and operation of the property. Please see our individual advertisements on Better Impact or our own website for new volunteer opportunities.
Thank you for your interest in The National Trust.
Mission Statement
The National Trust - Our values and behaviours.
Our purpose is to look after special places, for ever, for everyone. Growing the nation's love of special places is how we do that, putting the relationship between people and places at the heart of what we do.
Our core purpose remains the same as it has been for 125 years, to bring nature, beauty and history into the lives of as many people as possible.
Our values tell us how to do this, as they guide us in our choices and influence our behaviour.
Love people and places
Welcome everyone
Think now and forever
Make it happen!
