Guildford Opera
Volunteering with Guildford Opera
Hair/Make-Up Artist(s) - May 2026

Guildford Opera is seeking volunteers to help with hair and/or make-up for our next show!
Whether you have prior experience in a theatre setting or are a talented amateur, we'd love to hear from you. Please note - if you have experience in hair but not make-up or vice versa, we are more than happy to split this role.
The main duties of the role(s) would be styling hair and/or doing make-up in a 1950s style for our eight principal singers on the evenings of 26th, 27th, 29th & 30th May (and if there is time, supporting our chorus members with advice/touch-ups). The performance venue is Holy Trinity Church on Guildford High Street.
To let us know you're interested in volunteering with us, please scroll to the top of this page and click on Fill in an application form (on the right-hand side of this advert). We look forward to hearing from you!
Costume Assistant / Sewing Volunteer

Guildford Opera is seeking a Costume Assistant to help with our next show!
We are looking for someone with sewing skills to assist us in preparing and maintaining the costumes for our May 2026 production. Whether you have prior experience in a theatre setting or are a talented amateur, we'd love to hear from you.
The main duties of the role(s) would be supporting our Costume Supervisor with making simple alterations such as hems and sleeves, trimming, repairs and general maintenance, then labelling ready for use by the performers. Please note - you would need to have the use of your own sewing machine.
To let us know you're interested in volunteering with us, please scroll to the top of this page and click on Fill in an application form (on the right-hand side of this advert). We look forward to hearing from you!
