Cherry Trees (East Clandon)

 

Cherry Trees provides home-from-home short-break care for children with complex disabilities and essential, meaningful break for their families in Surrey, Hampshire and surrounding areas. 

Last year Cherry Trees supported 68 children, provided over 52,000 hours of care, supported 14 new families and organised 86 day trips - our care goes beyond just the stay!

We are looking for friendly volunteers to join the Cherry Tress community to continue this vital lifeline!

Cherry Trees Colleting Tin Volunteer

Join us as a Cherry Trees Collection Tin Distributor in Surrey and Hampshire!

Are you keen to get out into the local community and help fundraise for Cherry Trees, then this volunteering role is perfect for you!

We are looking for friendly, reliable and organised individuals to help distribute our collection tins in the local community across Surrey and Hampshire, to maximise fundraising and awareness.

You are required to distribute and collect if/when required, to build a rapport with the supporter, and to take the full collection tin to the Cherry Trees fundraising team in either East Clandon or Goldcrest Lodge.

Events Volunteers at Cherry Trees

Join us as a Cherry Trees Events Team Volunteer!

Are you looking to develop skills, wanting to give back to the local community all while supporting Cherry Trees events - then join us!

We are looking for community and event enthusiasts who are reliable, friendly, have a can-do attitude and are keen to support and help Cherry Trees deliver our fantastic events across the year, including flagship events, golf days and local summer fayres and fêtes.

You will need to be available to support events in varied and sociable roles across Surrey and Hampshire. 

Your tasks could include

  • Helping to load and unload Cherry Trees vehicle, with some light lifting
  • Help with event set-up e.g. putting up a gazebo, pop-up banners, merchandise table
  • Car parking marshalling
  • Selling raffle tickets
  • Running a stall at a local fête/ fayre
  • Sharing Cherry Trees marketing material with attendees e.g. flyers
  • Promoting future Cherry Trees events across Surrey and Hampshire 
  • On the day Cherry Trees Ambassadors who are friendly, cheery and helpful
  • Assisting with attendee questions/ queries
  • Working in a Team

Times vary from 2-6 hours depending on event and you must be 18+

Volunteer - Children's Care Worker

 

Join us as a Volunteer Children's Carer!

Cherry Trees provides home -from-home short-break care for children with complex disabilities, providing a meaningful break for their families in Surrey, Hampshire and surrounding areas. 

We are looking for some friendly Children's Care Worker volunteers to join our team and have fun every time you visit. No two times will be the same; you could be having fun with a child in our soft play, out on a visit to a local farm or baking cookies!  

We are looking for people to volunteer for all or part of the following shift times (min 4 hours). 

7am - 2pm, 2pm to 9pm, 10am - 6pm. 

We are open all year round and especially need help during school holidays and at weekends. All relevant training will be given.

Cherry Trees Cook Assistant

Can you help us prepare tasty and nutritious food for our children and care team - then volunteer as a Cherry Trees Cook!

No previous or professional cooking experience is needed, just a joy of cooking and a desire to help. 

Timings

  • Mondays, 14:00 -18:00  
  • Every other Saturday, 10:00 -18:00 
  • Sunday, 14:00 – 18:00 

You must be 18+

Cherry Trees Volunteer Mini Bus Driver

Are you looking to give back to the local community in a tangible way - then join us as a Cherry Trees Minibus Driver Volunteer!

We are looking for a reliable, time efficient and safe driver to drop off/ collect children to and from their school every morning and afternoon. Our care staff are there to take care of the children, so your focus will be on driving the bus. 

You do not need to have a special licence or take a further test, but we do ask that you complete a 1-hour driving assessment, with the aim of getting used to driving the vehicle.

  • Morning drop off: 08:30 - 09:30am
  • Afternoon pickup: 14:40 - 15:30pm
