My Sister’s Place Women’s Center

Donation Needs

By collecting or donating items from our wish list, you provide us with the supplies we need to provide life-saving services. Below are our current donation needs, in order of priority:

  • Canned goods, non-perishable food, pre-made meals/casseroles, drinks & desserts
  • New athletic shoes of all sizes (size 7-11 needed most)
  • New underwear & bras of all sizes
  • Blankets & Sleeping Bags

Any items not listed will not be accepted during donation drop off due to limited storage space. Please contact the volunteer manager for more information on what we can/cannot accept (volunteermspwc@cc-md.org)

Meal Service Volunteer

We proudly serve the women and children of Baltimore 3 meals per day, 365 days of the year, and offer on-site meal service volunteering, where you will serve clients a hearty meal at their table, and assist in clean up and other kitchen tasks.

If you are interested in coming on-site to help prepare food and serve our clients, please take a look at the Opportunities Calendar and sign up for on-site meal service volunteering slots.

Remote (At Home) Volunteering - No Computer Work!

Remote opportunities are ways you can support from your home, and best of all, there's no computer or internet required.  All activities are ones you can do yourself, with your friends, or with your organization.

Our Daily Bread Employment Center

Mission Statement

Inspired by the Gospel mandates to love, serve and teach, Catholic Charities provides care and services to improve the lives of Marylanders in need.

Meal Service

Breakfast: Monday-Friday 7:30am-8:30pm. Feeds between 70-150 people. Jobs include coffee, serving food, washing dishes, and trash. (Can accommodate groups up to 5)

Lunch: Every day from 9am-1pm Feeds between 400-800 people. Jobs can include serving meals, taking guest orders, running orders, pouring drinks, hauling trash, washing dishes, and preparing meals. (Can accommodate groups up to 10)

Dinner: Dinner for up to 70 men. Every day from 5:30pm-7pm (Can accommodate groups up to 5)

DePaul and St. Joachim House (Violetville)

Would you like to help support and engage older adults in the community?

DePaul and St. Joachim House, Catholic Charities Senior Communities,  could use your help! There are many volunteer options available including leading activity or social groups with residents, helping with daily meal service and events such as resource fairs or food drops, and even administrative support. The building is located on the Catholic Charities Jenkins Campus, just off I-95 at Caton Avenue, adjacent to St. Agnes Hospital.

Our Lady Fatima I & II (Southeast Baltimore City)

Our Lady of Fatima I and II, Catholic Charities Senior Communities, offer a total of 105 one-bedroom, rent-assisted apartments for adults 62 and over. The community is located in East Baltimore, at the corner of Kane and Pratt Streets, adjacent to the Our Lady of Fatima church, across from the Anchor Square shopping center, and one block from Eastern Avenue. Shopping, places of worship, a library, two senior centers, and recreational activities are located nearby. The Our Lady of Fatima I and II buildings are joined by a contemplative courtyard.

Trinity House (Towson)

Join our volunteer team!  Would you be interested in supporting older adults in our community here in Baltimore County?  Trinity House can use your help in making a difference.  We would love to have you sign up to volunteer for one or two hours.  Below you will find a list of current volunteer opportunities.  

Trinity House is a Catholic Charities Senior Community located in Towson.  We are located on the corner of Virginia Avenue and Chesapeake Avenue.

About us:

The Weinberg Housing and Resource Center (WHRC) is a low barrier emergency shelter that provides homeless services to over 275 adult men and women each night in the City of Baltimore. Our services include shelter, convalescent care, breakfast and dinner, showers, laundry, case management and a variety of life skills and empowerment classes -- with a focused goal on assisting residents in obtaining permanent housing.

Youth Behavioral Health Programs and Safe Streets

About Us

Explore volunteer opportunities within Catholic Charities of Baltimore's child welfare and behavioral health programs and opportunities within Safe Streets, Baltimore's violence prevention programs.

  • St. Vincent's VillaVilla Maria Schools, and Villa Maria Behavioral Health provide state-of-the-art behavioral health, child welfare, special education, early childhood and family-development services. Our trauma-informed, family-focused approach is creative, innovative, and multidisciplinary.
  • Safe Streets Baltimore provides evidence-based violence prevention and interruption services in Sandtown-Winchester, Brooklyn-Curtis Bay, Penn-North, and Cherry Hill.
