Mount Barker District Council - Environmental Programs

Thank you for your interest in volunteering with the Mount Barker District Council.  Your valuable gift of time is greatly appreciated by our community.  Volunteering with one our Environmental groups is an opportunity to get outdoors, be active, social and increase your environmental knowledge with like-minded people.

We have 4 Environmental Groups that provide valuable bushcare to protect some of our nature areas and ecosystems.  No experience needed.  Young people under the age of 16 require a supervising adult to accompany them at the bushcare sessions.

Friends of Mount Barker Summit Conservation Reserve - alternate Fridays/Saturdays monthly 10am-12pm

Friends of Yantaringa Reserve, Hahndorf  - monthly Thursdays 10am-12pm

Laratinga Wetland Warriors - fortnightly Saturdays 8am-11am

Bluestone Community Environmental group - fortnightly Wednesdays 9am-10am

For more information on any of these groups, please contact our Volunteer Development Officer on 8393 6414 or lbond@mountbarker.sa.gov.au
