This beautiful little animal is now on our logo. Trees Please! Landcare Hahndorf
Trees Please!
Landcare Hahndorf
Trees Please! aims to protect the remnant native bush at The Cedars (which is being destroyed by woody weeds like broom, gorse and blackberry), and to re-vegetate the area with local native trees and shrubs. The Cedars is the home of the late Sir Hans Heysen (near Hahndorf).
Trees Please! volunteers work every Thursday morning from 10am till mid day (weather permitting), and after the work there's a famous shared picnic (it's not all work!)
- Most of our work involves removing woody weeds but we also collect seed from the remnant native vegetation. Seedlings are then raised from the seed we've collected and planted out during special tree planting days in late Winter.
