Event Host Leader
Event Host Leader Volunteer
- Support people to stay healthy and active by connecting them to social and wellbeing activities in their local community and beyond
- Assist our clients to have a positive experience by encouraging them to participate in activities
- Woodside location with travel through the Hills and surrounding areas, minimum 2 events per month between Monday to Friday and the occasional weekend or evening
The role
Volunteer Event Host Leaders assist with the delivery of the Hills Home and Community Support program, by hosting a group of clients to participate in social and wellbeing activities. Events may include mystery trips to destinations of interest, theatre/music performances, visits to art galleries lunches/dinners, visits to farmers markets, nurseries or other shopping destinations.
About you
Your ability to lead and facilitate groups is key to success in this role, along with your ability to communicate effectively and empathetically with a broad range of people and work collaboratively.

Customer Service Assistant (Gumeracha)
- Provide friendly and welcoming customer service to all customers entering the Gumeracha Library and Torrens Valley Community Centre.
- Gumeracha location, 6 hours per week (9am - 3pm)
- Recruiting roles for Wednesdays or Fridays.
The role
The Customer Service Assistant provides customer service at the Community Centres, by greeting visitors and answering enquiries. They also assist with administrative tasks that support Community Centre Programs at Torrens Valley Community Centre, customer service assistants also support the Library. This role assists the community to access and enjoy programs and services coordinated by the Community Centres.
About you
You are comfortable in a customer service environment with a warm and friendly manner. Demonstrated administration skills with good working knowledge of the Microsoft Suite packages and experience communicating via email. You have the ability to communicate effectively and empathetically with a broad range of people including the elderly, disabled, disadvantaged, socially isolated and culturally diverse.

Virtual Reality Experience Facilitator (Gumeracha)
- Assist with the delivery of Virtual Reality sessions to community members, connecting people with this exciting and innovative technology.
- Gumeracha location, approximately 3 hours per month.
The role
The Virtual Reality Experience Facilitator will assist with the delivery of virtual reality sessions, connecting people to this new technology by immersing them in various experiences for learning and entertainment.
About you
You have a passion or interest in virtual reality technology, with skills in using information technology programs such as Windows and Steam. You work well in a team environment and have IT problem solving skills.
You enjoy working with people and have the ability to communicate effectively and empathetically with a broad range of people including the elderly, disabled, disadvantaged, socially isolated and culturally diverse.
Working With Children Check required for this role (previously DCSI)
