Heart Foundation Walking

The Heart Foundation wants to support more people to walk more often, as it’s one of the simplest yet best things we can do for a healthy mind, body and heart. The program has nearly 100 groups in SA, and people can be part of a group by joining an existing group in their local area or by starting their own group.

Walking groups can be any size and walk at various times, days, lengths, and levels of difficulty. Everyone is encouraged to walk at their own pace.

Heart Foundation Walking is Australia’s largest walking group network, with over 750 groups nationwide, including more that 350 specialty groups—such as parents with prams, support groups, indoor walking groups, people with health conditions (e.g. cardiac rehab, cancer), workplace teams, cultural and community groups, men’s and women’s walking groups.

The Hut Community Centre

Welcome to The Hut Community Centre!

We are a community centre with a passion for the Adelaide Hills, having been initially established in a small hut in Stirling – hence the name of our centre. We are now located in Aldgate and have over 230 volunteers providing financial and social support, education, fun, and fitness activities to support the Hills community.

Our services are diverse and focus on engaging with residents in our Hills community. Programs include training and education, sharing skills and interests, and healthy living activities. Our reach covers the entire Hills region through our networks and partnerships which support our philosophy of working with others to support the Hills community.

We are your community centre, so let us know your thoughts on how we can work together to further enhance the Adelaide Hills Community!

Volunteer With Us!
