Adelaide Hills Council
Welcome!
People who live, work, study and play in the Adelaide Hills give purpose to our work at Council.
Volunteering is an opportunity to partner with us so we can build connected and inclusive communities filled with resilient, active individuals across the Adelaide Hills.
Through volunteering you can make a valuable contribution to our community, share your skills or gain new ones, and get to know your community by connecting with new people.
Ways you can volunteer with Adelaide Hills Council
We are looking for volunteers of all ages, across a range of skills and different life experiences to directly contribute their time to assisting Hills communities.

Riding for Disabled Oakbank
Riding for Disabled Oakbank
Riding for Disabled Oakbank Centre (RDA Oakbank) provides specialised horse-riding programs and relationships with horses for mostly young people with physical, intellectual, learning and emotional disabilities. We have been operating since 1980 by local volunteers and are based at the Oakbank Racecourse in South Australia's picturesque Adelaide Hills.
RDA Oakbank is one of 12 centres across South Australia that are formally affiliated with Riding for the Disabled South Australia (RDASA). As a member of RDASA, our centre is a registered National Disability Insurance Scheme provider.
Volunteer With Us!
RDA Oakbank holds lessons on Tuesday and Friday afternoons but operate 7 days a week to care for our small herd of horses and to maintain our infrastructure, paddocks and other assets.
We offer you the opportunity to learn new skills with RDA Australia accredited volunteer coaches, other trained volunteers with a diversity of skills, and trained and accredited RDA horses.
Fill in an application to volunteer or contact Frances Hardy on 0418851745 to find out more.
Our Mission
To be a respected, inclusive and sustainable organisation delivering a diverse range of equestrian programs for people requiring support to participate.
