Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme – Home Visiting

Sharing a story or an experience, your attention or talent, is a meaningful way to spend your time.

Experience the satisfaction of visiting an older person in a nursing home on a regular basis. Have a cup of tea and a chat together, read the newspaper, play cards, or a stroll around the garden. Sharing a story or an experience, your attention or talent, is a meaningful way to spend your time.

Phone Call Volunteer
Our Phone Call program provides a regular friendly call to an older person who is either lonely or socially isolated. Receiving a regular friendly phone call can make a huge difference to a person’s life. You can share stories about your lives, learn their interests, talk about news, sport, hobbies etc.

Volunteer at a Wellness Centre
Catholic Healthcare operates five Wellness Centres in Sydney (Waterloo, Willoughby, Hornsby and Eastwood) as well as regional Wellness Centres on the Central Coast, and in Dubbo, Wagga and Bathurst. Our volunteers assist staff, help with activities such as craft and provide one-on-one attention to clients.
