Complete your Duke of Edinburgh volunteering with Demelza

Duke of Edinburgh volunteering placements in our shops can be undertaken at any time of the year and timescales will depend on the award being completed and the shop requested. Applicants for this role must be 16 years of age or older.

If retail is not for you, you could organise an event that would help raise funds for Demelza. As long as the relevant hours are covered for the level of award you are undertaking, this could form your volunteering section of the award. You would be expected to organise a fundraising event, this could be events such as cake sales, quiz night, etc. to raise funds for Demelza.

Complete your Work Experience with Demelza

Undertaking work experience with Demelza helps to give a great insight into all areas of charity, whether it is helping with fundraising or volunteering at one of our retail shops. Due to current restrictions, we cannot currently host any placements in our hospices.

Work experience in our shops can be undertaken at any time of the year and is normally for a duration of one week but other timescales may be considered. Applicants need to be a minimum of 16 years old to help our retail team. Please specify the dates you would like to complete your work experience and we will try to find a suitable placement.
