Engagement Hub - St Kilda

Helping people get by with a little help from some friends.

The St Kilda Engagement Hub offers a unique community service for adults with severe and enduring mental health issues.

The hub operates as a ‘drop in’ centre. Focusing on encouraging individual strengths and abilities.

People accessing the hub can access 

  • Daily meals including breakfast and lunch on weekdays.
  • Laundry facilities and showers
  • Group outings
  • Workshops and activities – including art, drama, gardening, meditation, yoga, music, women’s programs, writing and trivia

If you have hidden talent such as painting classes or yoga that we could add to our activities list and would like to share through volunteering we can support a flexible and rewarding experience. If you have 4 hours a month to spare and a passion to make an impact in the lives of people we support, by creating a place for people to feel safe, to belong, and to connect. Uniting is a child safe organisation and is committed in everyday practice to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all children, at all times. As a ‘child safe’ organisation, volunteering with Uniting is subject to a satisfactory national (and international where relevant) police check and Working With Children Check (in Victoria) and/or Working With Vulnerable People Check (in Tasmania) prior to commencement in any service or undertaking.
