Uniting Victoria & Tasmania - Student Placements
We recognise the need for students to gain hands on experience that relates to their chosen profession. We offer work placements to both university and TAFE students for courses including: Social Work (Bachelor/Masters), Diploma of Community Services, Diploma of Welfare and Certificates in Community Services. Other courses and disciplines will be considered where there is support from a placement supervisor. Vocational placements provide students with the opportunity to apply the theory and skills they learned while studying in a professional workplace.
Under these arrangements students can gain the skills they need to transition successfully from study to work, while giving industry the opportunity to enrich student learning experiences and increase the number of work-ready graduates.
