Find your opportunity
L2P Mentor Drivers - Ringwood
Sometimes independence starts with P.
Our L2P Program matches learner drivers with a mentor to help get them on the road. Getting a drivers licence is an important milestone in a young person’s life. It opens up opportunities for employment, increases confidence, a sense of responsibility and independence.
Our L2P Program matches learners with a fully-licenced volunteer driver and vehicle to help them gain driving experience.
Become a mentor.
Volunteer mentors are an integral and highly valued part of the TAC L2P Program and we always welcome enquiries and applications. To be considered as a volunteer mentor you need to meet the following eligibility criteria:
- Be over 21 years of age
- Hold current full Australian driver's licence
- Have satisfactory driver license history report
- Be medically fit to drive (we may discuss this further through the application process)
If this sounds like you and have some time to spare and a passion to make an impact in the lives of people we support, by creating a place for people to feel safe. We would like you to join our team.

Foster Care
Help provide a safe, supportive and loving home for a child or young person in need.
The role of a foster carer is crucial in ensuring that Victoria’s youths are provided with the support they need to develop in a safe and nurturing environment. A kind and empathetic foster carer can offer a sense of stability and security that can change a young person’s life.
Types of care we need:
- Weekend respite, looking after children and young people living with a foster care family for occasional or regularly scheduled weekends.
- Short-term care, which ranges from a few days to a few months, depending on the child or young person's needs.
- Long-term care, when the child or young person is not expected to return to their family.
- If you’re interested in making a meaningful difference in the lives of Victoria’s young people, consider becoming a foster carer. Our program provides extensive training and support to ensure that you’re fully prepared to offer the best possible care to your foster child.
The first step is getting in touch. We can answer all your questions and help you make an informed decision about taking the next step.
