Community Arts and Culture

Support our exhibition program at Cedar Hill Recreation Centre and Saanich Municipal Hall by assisting with the installation and takedown of artwork and displays alongside staff, artists, and community partners. This opportunity is ideal for someone with an arts education (completed or in progress) who’s looking to gain practical gallery experience. Shifts occur primarily on weekdays with occasional evening or weekend events. Volunteers can expect an average of 1-5 hours per month, with a requested minimum commitment of six months.

Community Services Ambassador

Help build a more connected and inclusive Saanich by sharing information about the Community Services Division's funding, supports, and programming at community events and other public spaces. This role will be busiest during the late spring and summer, on weekday evenings or weekends during the day. Enjoy community connection and making a difference! Ages 19+. 

Older Adults Social Programs

Create a welcoming space for older adults to connect over coffee, conversation, goodies and games! Duties include preparing light refreshments, welcoming participants, sharing community resources, and facilitating activities and conversations. Shifts are once per week for 2-2.5 hours. Ages 19+.
