Opportunities to serve behind the scenes.
Harbor House
The Harbor House provides a nurturing and safe place for men that are homeless. This long-term intervention program provides hope and practical assistance to these individuals as they seek to break the cycle of homelessness. Men in this program maintain sobriety, work towards a college education, enter the workforce, receive counseling, drug and alcohol rehabilitation, and much more.

EMERGENCY SOCIAL SERVICES (ESS)
The Salvation Army Emergency Social Services Program bridges a gap for families and individuals by meeting their emergency and basic needs while they are working through their temporary financial crisis.
After assessing clients’ needs, Salvation Army caseworkers provide and assistance package to help clients during temporary setbacks. Part of that package may include referrals to other agencies, which have forged partnerships with The Salvation Army.
Services, based upon available funding, include assistance with mortgage/rent payments, utilities, clothing, groceries/meals, disaster recovery, funeral expenses, furniture, prescriptions and spiritual counseling.

Seasonal Assistance
The Salvation Army provides Thanksgiving and Christmas Assistance to less fortunate families.
The volunteer opportunities avaliable for Seasonal Assistance include helping families fill out assistance applications, filling angel tree gift bags and visiting with clients as they come to pick up their gifts.
