Legal Advocacy for Agricultural Farmworkers
The Legal Advocacy for Agricultural Workers was established in 2001 to address the hardships faced by farm workers in the Fraser Valley and Lower Mainland. The program has a three-fold intent consisting of:
- Education
- Law reform
- One-on-one assistance
STRIDE
STRIDE provides valuable skills enhancement through employability, essential skills and employment readiness workshops; short-term occupational certification and unpaid work experience leading to sustainable employment.
Urban Farm
Archway Urban Farm is a teaching garden designed for growing market crops. The space demonstrates growing fruit and vegetables using organic methods and provides learning opportunities and fresh food to the community.
Newcomers to Canada
Delish
Delish is a multi-ethnic catering service that brings together the talented culinary skills of newcomers to Canada. In addition to meeting the catering needs in Abbotsford, Delish gives participants the opportunity to build confidence, social networks, and professional skill development for the Canadian workplace.
Seniors
Our staff and volunteer team provide Information, Referral and Resource Services.
These services help link and refer older adults to community supports, programs and services within Abbotsford that are relevant to them. Some of these services and supports may include but are not limited to the following:
- Assistance with completing applications for senior ( SAFER, Lifeline etc)
- Medical Transportation, Better at Home, Meals on Wheels,
- Referrals to organizations that are senior-focused
- Healthcare resources
- Leisure and recreation
This service may be accessed in person or over the phone.
Volunteers are needed to support senior programs and services. Here is a list of possible opportunities:

Lunch with the Bunch
Help seniors get out of the house, meet new friends and have some fun!
Volunteer Drivers bring seniors to and from Lunch with the Bunch.
Pre-event: Set up room. Set required tables and chairs, set equipment (sound system, games as required), set tables, (table cloths, cutlery, coffee cups, condiments), make coffee, fill water jugs, fill creamers, set water for soup, set up for tea, set menu board, set out client name tags.
Fridays: 10am pick-up and 2pm return
